Their construction (conical with two screws) provides improved material mixing and plasticisation, better conveying capacity at lower speeds, and the possibility of processing more problematic materials, such as PVC. Compared to single-screw extruders, they offer a more stable process, better homogeneity of processed material, and lower power consumption per kilogram.
