This project is carried out under the Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014-2020, priority axis 2: Support for the environment and capacity of enterprise for R&D&I activity, Measure 2.3: Pro-innovation services for enterprises, Sub-measure 2.3.3: Internationalisation of National Key Clusters, application no. POIR.02.03.03-20-0004/18.
PROJECT AIM: The project involves internationalisation of the Eastern Construction Cluster’s offer – an entity holding the status of a Key National Cluster. Its main objective is to increase the internationalisation level of 32 enterprises (including 30 SMEs) operating as part of the Key National Cluster by 31 August 2022. This objective will be achieved by carrying out an integrated and company-adjusted comprehensive internationalisation programme provided by the Coordinator to the members of the Key National Cluster. This task will involve:
- Providing advisory services for preparing companies to enter foreign markets by optimising their offer;
- Promoting the Cluster’s offer on key foreign markets (EU and other), by comprehensively supporting enterprises in their participation in trade fairs and foreign missions;
- Promoting the Cluster among potential counterparties by preparing and distributing Cluster catalogues, conducting promotional activities in trade fair media, online, and organising conferences;
- Strengthening cooperation among the companies within the Key National Cluster by initiating new joint projects, including R&D projects, as well as establishing and fostering lasting business relations that will translate into measurable financial benefits for the Key National Cluster’s companies;
- Developing the Key National Cluster by attracting new companies that will reinforce the value chain of the Eastern Constriction Cluster.
The effects of these actions should include:
- Internationalisation/introduction of at least 32 Key National Cluster’s companies to foreign markets between 01.09.2019 and 31.08.2022;
- Extension of knowledge and potential of the Key National Cluster’s companies in internationalisation through advisory services, conferences, and meetings with internationalisation experts;
- Improvement of the competitiveness of the Key National Cluster’s offer on international markets through active participation in trade fairs and foreign missions;
- Bolstering cooperation inside the cluster by initiating new projects, including R&D projects, and by establishing and fostering lasting business relations that will translate into measurable financial benefits for the Key National Cluster’s companies;
- Development of the Cluster by attracting new companies that will reinforce the value chain of the Eastern Constriction Cluster;
Active operation of both the Cluster and the Coordinator contributes to strengthening the position of the Eastern Constriction Cluster, which is proven by successive joint initiatives undertaken by the Cluster members, including those which involve innovations in a broad sense.

Ekochem Sp. z o.o. Sp. k. is carrying out a project named ‘Development of the composition, properties, and production technology of TPE with reduced cytotoxicity and antibacterial properties (counteracting COVID-19)’, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the project Research and Implementation Fund, implemented as part of Priority Axis 1: Strengthening of the innovativeness and competitiveness of the regional economy, Measure 1.2: Promoting enterprise investment in research and innovation, Sub-measure 1.2.1:Support for research and development processes, Regional Operational Programme of the Kujawy-Pomerania Province 2014-2020.
This project aims to strengthen the innovativeness and competitiveness of the company through supporting R&D.
It will result in introducing a new product – a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) with reduced cytotoxicity and anti-bacterial properties.

WW Ekochem Sp. z o.o. Sp. k. is implementing a project entitled ‘Development and implementation of a process innovation by changing the production process of extruders to a standardised production model’, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the project Research and Implementation Fund of the Regional Operational Programme of the Kujawy-Pomerania Province 2014-2020.
This project aims to strengthen the innovativeness and competitiveness of the company through supporting R&D.
The project will finalise with developing an innovative extruder production process based on standardised components and implementing it in the company’s operations.

Sp. k. is implementing a project entitled ‘Development and implementation of an innovative system for the extrusion and cutting of polymer granules’, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the project Research and Implementation Fund of the Regional Operational Programme of the Kujawy-Pomerania Province 2014-2020.
This project aims to strengthen the innovativeness and competitiveness of the company through supporting R&D.
As a result of this project, Ekochem will introduce an innovative system consisting of an extruder and an extrusion head that will enable extrusion and cutting of polymers irrespective of their type and properties.

Sp. k. is implementing a project entitled ‘Development of the composition, properties, and production technology of transparent fillers for thermoplastic elastomers and their introduction into the company’s offer’, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the project Research and Implementation Fund of the Regional Operational Programme of the Kujawy-Pomerania Province 2014-2020.
This project aims to strengthen the innovativeness and competitiveness of the company through supporting R&D.
The project will result in Ekochem introducing a new product to its offer – a transparent filler for thermoplastic elastomers.
