EkoAbsorber is a plastics processing additive that lowers the material’s moisture levels, which translates into shorter and more stable production process, as well as reduces overall costs.
Plastics processing companies know this problem really well: they often encounter issues with moisture and foaming, particularly when dealing with recycled materials. Air bubbles that form on the surface require time- and energy-consuming drying process that reduces production efficiency. Our moisture absorber, an additive used in the processing of plastics, offers a perfect solution.

Efficiency boosted to 95-100%
Polyethylene (PE) constitutes a base for the absorber, while calcium oxide (CaO), a substance with hygroscopic properties, is used as an active agent. The absorber is best compatible with polyethylene and polypropylene. It is a universal solution as it can be applied to any method of plastics processing – extrusion, blow moulding, and injection.
EkoAbsorber by Ekochem, a leading producer and supplier in Poland and Europe, is made of high-quality components. This remains crucial, as it prevents clogging of filters and eliminates contamination. Each batch is tested by our Quality Control Department, which ensures the high efficiency of our product. A moist material prevents a machine from operating at its full capacity. By adding EkoAbsorber, we can boost capacity to 95-100% by stabilising the production process.
EkoAbsorber – what makes it unique in the market?
We have already mentioned its high quality, which translates into lower costs. In short, Ekochem’s moisture absorber has a competitive price in comparison to other European products, while simultaneously offering better efficiency. Moreover, its properties can be adjusted to the customer’s specific needs.

Ekochem is the largest moisture absorber manufacturer in Europe – each month, we sell 800 tonnes of the product. Apart from Poland, the largest volumes are delivered to the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, yet we also have customers in Germany, Italy and Morocco. Our company is constantly developing, investing in new machines, and gaining new clients.
Of the 10,000 tonnes of EkoAbsorber produced annually by Ekochem, the majority goes to companies making foil from recyclates, primarily producers of garbage bags and food packaging. This shows how significant the circular economy is becoming. And when a product is made entirely from recycled materials, an effective solution for reducing moisture levels is priceless. Another large group of buyers are companies that recycle materials by collecting waste, segregating it, and producing regranulates. The remaining buyers are all other plastics processing companies that use polyethylene and polypropylene recyclates in their production processes. Still, all these customers share one common benefit: EkoAbsorber optimises the production process and saves money.
